I have spent the last several days treating Feather’s eyes, brushing, touching, and handling her ears. She isn’t too fond of that, but with time she will improve I am sure. Maybe she won’t enjoy having her ears scratched and rubbed like Cash does but even a small improvement isn an improvement.
There is less drainage coming from her eyes, but the left Meibomian gland is the one that’s infected. Today, the 6th, it looked a teeny tiny bit better. Hopefully it will continue to improve because she is getting fussier the more I have to mess with her eyes. can’t say I blame her though.
Yesterday both my horse got their vaccinations. Sometime down the road they both will go to the vet for their rabies vaccines. I want to hold off though to see if Feather’s eye problem clears up, if she needs more ointment, or if she needs her eyes to be rechecked.
Probably some time this summer I will also take Cash back in to have his front hooves x-rayed again.
